Paseo de la Reforma

The Paseo de la Reforma is Mexico City’s main boulevard.  It stretches all the way from the city’s historic center to Chapultepec.  Impressive architecture, landscaped gardens, fancy hotels, offices, mosaic cobblestone pathways and perfectly arranged palm trees line this main thoroughfare.  The most well know symbol of Mexico City, the Monumento de la Independencia or Angel, can be seen in the center of one of the many traffic circles that extend the length of the roadway.

We spent a few hours strolling the Paseo, taking in the views and trying out the various benches that line the avenue.  Each bench is a unique piece of art, the one pictured here is my favorite.
